Check a caption file against reading-time, line and overlap limits, and the images on a page against a short list of alt-text rules, before anything is published. The sample files are synthetic. Serve this folder (see README.md) instead of double-clicking the page, so the samples can load.
Your files never leave this tab. This page reads the caption text and the page
HTML you give it and applies the checks below. It uploads nothing, stores nothing and fixes
nothing. It reads up to 2 MB per box, 20,000 cues and 5,000 images. A flag is a prompt for a
person, and a clear result does not mean the captions or descriptions are right. Reload the
page to forget the files.
Limits you choose
The starting numbers are examples, not standards. The 1.33 seconds is 40 frames at 30 frames per second. The length flag and the check for alt text that starts with a phrase such as "image of" are house checks with no cited source. Replace every number with the one your association adopts.
