BeginnerTry it: map your association's hidden network
This is our working 3D constellation mapper: sixty invented people in the example network, or drop in your own LinkedIn Connections.csv and map your real network in three dimensions. People arrange as a constellation, clustered by what they do and joined to the employers they share. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, ask it a plain-English question, click a node for a person, click a large node for an employer. Everything runs in this tab, in your browser.
Ask a question
Type a question above. The lab matches fields, roles, employers, and words, then shows you exactly how it read your question, so you can check its reasoning.
Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, right-drag to pan. Click a node for a person, click a large node for an employer, hover any node for details. The lines join people to the employers they share: memberships, not relationships. LinkedIn does not share who-knows-whom.
How this lab works
- A real 3D constellation. The scene is rendered by 3d-force-graph, an open-source MIT-licensed library by Vasco Asturiano. Everything the scene shows is our own code, written for this tutorial.
- Our own pattern-based classifier. Job titles are matched against our own keyword lists for eight professional fields, plus Unstated for the ones that match nothing. No model, no API key, no network calls.
- People cluster by field; shared employers become hubs. An employer becomes a hub when two or more of your connections work there.
- Looks right in light and dark mode. The lab reads the site's theme and repaints the scene (background, links, labels) the moment you toggle it.
- The question box shows its reading. Above every answer, the lab shows the field, employer, seniority, and words it matched on. If the reading is wrong, rephrase with the words people put in their headlines.
- Memory only. Your data lives in this tab's memory. Close the tab and it is gone; Forget my data wipes it sooner.
